Scenario: The community is looking for more activities for families to participate. One of the ideas the committee came up with is a miniature golf course. Design a hole that would be fun for the whole family.
Steps: First, we explored many mini golf courses and rated their designs. In teams, we discussed the things that made certain holes challenging and fun. Then, off to the drawing board. Holes were created and designs started to take place. (WARNING: This project is MESSY fun!) Creating a golf hole took many fails before they worked. No one gave up, no matter how frustrating it was. Sometimes two or three heads were better than one. After our golf course was complete, we invited classes to PLAY. There were so many challenges to keeping the groups flowing from start to finish. The day was a tremendous success!
